Today, she is a marketing coordinator for LifeBridge Health, where she writes and plans distribution of content for five hospitals and 137 other sites of care. When she isn't writing, Petrosky enjoys doing anything outdoors, and spending time with her wife and son. TWITTER @MarylandWriters The Maryland Writers' Association (MWA) is a voluntary, not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting the art, business, and craft of writing in all its forms. There are currently 12 chapters throughout the state. Our diverse membership ranges from professional freelancers and published authors, to writers aspiring to be published and those who write as a creative outlet. Some of MWA's activities and services include monthly chapter meetings featuring guest speakers, open mic readings, and workshops. We also hold an annual writer’s conference, writing contests, and a webinar series. Members have publishing opportunities in our newsletter, literary journal, and anthologies. Our Teen Writing Program, which works closely with local libraries, provides a constructive, mentoring relationship for groups ages 13 to 18 who want to explore creative writing and improve their skills.
