THANKS TO THESE PARTNERS FOR HELP MAKING THE WRITE WOMEN BOOK FEST POSSIBLE

Marietta House Museum has been vital in implementing our vision for an inclusive and educational opportunity for a book festival that endeavors to lift up women and marginalized creative voices. Their cooperation and kind helpful management and staff is much appreciated. We want to recognize Stacey Hawkins as well for her sweet nature and for answering a million questions with a smile.

FROM THEIR WEBSITE
Marietta House Museum is dedicated to exploring, elevating, and transforming awareness of the interconnected relationships of the people and their descendants who lived and labored at Marietta.

As a public history steward, Marietta is committed to co-curating discussions, exhibitions, and programs with broad community input to promote universal social equity. Marietta interprets the historical architecture and landscape across Prince George's County, Maryland, through inclusive American history.

We are excited to offer our authors a chance to have their books accepted into the Prince George's County Memorial Library System and thanks to the participation of three branches near our event location, a display of The Write Women Book Fest books!

We want to thank the kind staff members and management for all of their assistance in lifting up the voices of our creatives.

We have been very lucky that Prince George's Historical Society has provided us with support since our first year.

We appreciate their willingness to help us grow! Without organizations like this it would be very difficult to achieve larger and larger goals each year.

Please go visit their website and give them some of your support, it's a very nice circular support system!

We are excited that Barnes & Noble in Bowie, MD will be supporting this year's event by creating a Write Women Book Fest display of qualifying participant's works! Please show your appreciation to this store by leaving some positive reviews and feedback online and purchasing books from the display once it's up!

We want to say a special thank you to Store Manager George Dressel for helping amplify the voices of our authors.

Beautiful handmade jewelry by @NotLikeOtherGoods can be found on Etsy and Instagram. Jaimie Nelson's work flirts with the natural elements as well as evokes a sense of tiny worlds you can carry with you.

A vendor and a book fest attendee will have the chance to win one of Jaimie's lovely mini works of art.  We are so grateful for Jaimie partnering with us this year.

A new and exciting book podcast with Bobbye Jo Bailey and Lauren Matheson has partnered this year with our book fest.

You can find a list of their episodes HERE, where they kicked off their podcast by discussing the popular Bridgerton books and the Netflix series "Shadow and Bone" as well as several others.

Bobbye and Lauren partnered with us to provide a very important networking opportunity for all of our participating authors to be interviewed by them on The Not-So-Secret Society podcast. You can also find them on TikTok as @thenotsosecretsociety, and Instagram as @thenotsosecretsocietypodcast.

Please support their efforts, and ours, by heading over and listening to some episodes and subscribing to their podcast.

We are so excited to have Persephone Jayne as a partner this year. Her support for the day-of coordinator and gift baskets for virtual participants is much appreciated.

Persephone Jayne has been writing in various forms for about 7 years (earnestly anyway). In 2019 she published her first kids book set, Base Brats Break A Leg and Base Brats Spelling Bee. This past April she launched the next 2 books in the same series. Last year she became a certified Wild Woman Project Circle Leader. Now she combines her Circle leading skills and her love of books to guide writers and readers through their own meditations to help them find peace within the stories they read and tell. She calls it a Wild Literary circle. Be sure to check the event schedule for The Write Women Book Fest for her 2021 workshop.

We are happy that Nerdy Book Box is participating this year and have partnered with us to bring some lucky winner a free box! Nerdy Book Box was founded on the idea of supporting small, lesser-known authors. While most other book box companies cater to bigger, well-known and already established writers; we are here for the smaller niche of folks that may still be growing their book and brand. Your support allows us to bring you beautiful worlds, characters and stories from the minds of brilliant authors. We are here to support them and support our fellow small businesses.
