SPECIAL THANKS

This event takes a tremendous amount of effort with just a few people doing the bulk of the heavy lifting. Because of that we rely on the
kindness, cleverness, and general helpfulness of various people and organizations. We would like to acknowledge the following with a heartfelt "Thank you!"

Prince George's County Historical Society, The Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Marietta House, Stacey Hawkins, Calling Card, Ariele Sieling, Stacia Woycheck, D'Manda Martini, Robin Jones, L. Penelope, Chris Van Dyke, Susan Pearl and the Prince George's Philharmonic Orchestra, Higher Standards Jazz, Jocelyn Broadwick, Rust-n-Shine, Cardyn Brooks, Vikki Carter & Author Podcast, Jade Brooks-Bartlett, William Hardy, and the people who quietly pitched in when needed and supported our little book fest.

Also many thanks to the following:

Dianne Ochiltree for allowing Firefighter Jones to read Molly, by Golly! The Legend of Molly Williams, America’s First Female Firefighter.  Katie Crenshaw and Ady Meschke for permission for D'Manda Martini to read Her Body Can. HarperCollins for permission to read excerpts from the Tayari Jones foreword to Hitting a Straight Lick with a Crooked Stick by Zora Neale Hurston, and to Jennifer Baker for excerpts from her introduction to Everyday People--Color of Life anthology, and to L. Penelope for allowing TWWBF2020 to include a link to episode 74 of her blog as an contextual reference in our Reading & Writing Outside Your Experience social media engagement campaign.
