Karen Janowsky has loved superheroes and ancient mythology since the first time she saw the Super Friends on television in 1970's. Because flying an invisible jet was never a viable career option, and because running around in a cape, swimsuit, and bright red boots is not socially acceptable for adults, she teaches yoga and writing at the College of Southern Maryland. Her stories and poems have been featured in several anthologies and literary magazines since 1991. She received her master's degree in English from Florida State University

Christie Sheridan graduated from The Maryland Institute College of Art and received a bachelor’s degree in Animation with a Concentration in Illustration. She spent the first part of her career producing digital media for the Baltimore Sun, and then for The Chicago Tribune. Today she is the Director of Animation and Graphic Design for an application security company and specializes in the production of eLearning content.
Christie knew she wanted to create a series of children’s books with a focus on personal well-being. She passed along a few sketches to writer Sarah Petrosky and The Magic of Making Friends was born.

A. L. Kaplan’s love of books started as a child and sparked a creative imagination. Born on a cold winter morning in scenic northern New Jersey, her stories and poems have been included in several anthologies and magazines. Her most recent publications are her debut novel, Star Touched, and Wolf Dawn, a short story. She is the Maryland Writers’ Association’s President and holds an MFA in sculpture from the Maryland Institute College of Art. When not writing or indulging in her fascination with wolves, this proud mother of two lives in Maryland with her husband and dog.
An award-winning author, Linda Wood Rondeau has written ten books, expecting several more in 2020 and in 2021. She is Managing Fiction Editor for Elk Lake Publishing, Inc and Vice-President of Maryland Writers Association. She enjoys mentoring new authors and has been a presenter at many writers conferences. She resides in Hagerstown, MD. with her husband of over forty years. When not writing, the author enjoys the occasional round of golf, hiking, visiting museums and historical places, and playing Wii.
Writer and poet, Joan Drescher Cooper finds inspiration in her family and teaching career. In October 2019, her debut poetry collection, Birds Like Me, was published by Finishing Line Press. Her poetry and flash fiction have appeared recently in The Delmarva Review, Doorknobs & Body Paint and the Sand Dune Anthology. Joan has self-published two novels and a collection of short stories through Salt Water Media of Berlin: Finding Home on Lilac Hill, Return to Lilac Hill, and Lilac Hill Folly. She was the featured writer for the Edgar Allan Poe House’s Speaker’s Series in March 2020. Joan teaches at Kenwood High School in Baltimore, but she maintains membership in the Eastern Shore Writers Association and serves as a Berlin chapter treasurer for The Maryland Writers Association. Joan has sponsored creative writing for students through workshops, Poetry Out Loud National Recitation Contest, slam poetry events, the Dodge Poetry Festival Student Days, and school magazines. Kara Pleasants is the author of “Disenchanted”, a novel that combines the world of Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” with wizards, magic, and fairies. She lives in the lovely hamlet of Darlington, where she and her husband are restoring an 18th-century farm. She has two beautiful and vivacious daughters. A Maryland native, Kara spent most of her childhood traveling with her family and spent six years living in Siberia, as well as five years in Montana, before finally making her way home to attend the University of Maryland.
Kara is the English Department Chair at West Nottingham Academy. She previously taught at several public school districts, community colleges, and the University of Maryland. She will never forget the first ninth-grade English class she ever taught at Oxon Hill High, whose courage and artistry might be the reason she still teaches today. Her hobbies include making scones for the Havre de Grace farmer's market, writing poetry, watching fantasy shows, and directing a choir.

Alyshia Bradley is a 29 year old actress, author and spoken word artist from Lusby Maryland. She graduated top of her College with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Urban Arts from Coppin State University. "I believe art and healing go hand in hand, art has always been there for me, so my life's work is to continue to be a living advocate for art and healthy mental health practices."
Her debut book Thank You Resiliency But I Am Tired, embodies just that, using healing, mental health and art detailing the story of a rough break up, and ownership to follow through poetry. Already in works, her second book I See You Mocha Mocha details just how much performing arts and poetry she has mused on throughout her life and how her life was saved and shaped by it.
